Portraits
Creating reflective portraits of my favorite people (and dogs) is an intensive journey, but I'm honored to be able to produce these keepsakes. Here's some of my favorites, done traditionally, digitally, and sometimes both!
Self Portrait (2019)
Graphite pencils on bristol paper.
Abby (2021)
Watercolor, Procreate, & Photoshop.
Traditional
Some of my favorite traditional media include acrylic paint, gouache, pen & ink, and plain ol' graphite! We all begin with traditional media, and I firmly believe in the importance of having digital and traditional creative muscles.
Vasilisa the Beautiful (2021)
A two-page illustration for a children's book, based on the
Slavic folk tale.
Pen and ink, watercolor, & Photoshop.
Prud'hon Master Study (2021)
Various studies of anatomy through a master study of a sketch by Pierre Paul Prud'hon c. 1880.
Master Study: Charcoal, white chalk, & graphite on drawing paper.
Muscles & Bones: Colored pencil & graphite on frosted Mylar.
Triple Trippy Tabby (2020)
Acrylic & white gel pen.
In Iso (2020)
Watercolor on pressed watercolor paper.
Digital
I grew up (like many others now) scrolling through art forums and social media, coveting independent artists and their work, and admiring the quality of digital art. Now I've been working in a digital space
for years and couldn't imagine
my workflow without it!

A swatch for a garden-themed pattern.

Chaos to Order (2021)

Witches House Motifs (2020)
